Saye Beach Camping, North East Alderney but close to the old harbour

http://www.sayebeachcamping.co.uk/

I've emailed them- got a reply.

Hi,

You could hire a two man festival tent for £10 for the night or a fully equipped 4 berth tent for £35 but there is a two night minimum charge, so £70.

There is plenty of availability at that time.

Best wishes
Zoe

At the moment I've booked the Harbour Lights - We went there last time and it was pretty good. I did want to try somewhere new but only Bumps can take 18/20 of us - all of the others appear to be booked up (I probably have not tried everywhere, just the larger establishments closeish to Bray Harbour so within a walk of the camp site and harbour). Anyone here know if Bumps would be better than Harbour Lights ? Both have a terrace so if the weather is fine we have the option to eat outside.

I am also booked in tents (thanks Low Flyer)

Would like to add my name to the 'eating out' list on Sat night.

Have also secured a ride on a larger rib- if the weather isn't good.

I guess that confirms I'll be coming.

James.

Hi,
I live here on Alderney and can advise on restaurants etc.
The Harbour lights is OK, chef has changed recently but I haven't heard anything good or bad!
The number of you does limit things, but there is time to book something up.
The Thai and the Indian both have big enough tables for you, both are very good but I guess you have enough of those back home!
Not sure if you are aware but Bumps moved up into town, behind the Indian. Good food still and a nice outside eating area.
The Georgian could get you all easily in their restaurant, The Orangery. Very good gastro pub type food and the liveliest pub in town. Also has the advantage of good draught bitters, lagers and Guiness. The other establishments mentioned so far, except the 'Lights, only have bottles & cans.
Where Bumps used to be in Braye St is a new restaurant called Cantina No6. Only been open a week or so but reports are good. Also has a small selection of draught beers I believe. Not sure if they can take a big party though.
The Braye Beach could fit you in but it's all 'Nouvelle Cuisine' and bonkers prices!

Hope this helps, and fire away with any questions!
