I think you've already posted the best footage

Nice try Bob but Andre told me he has got some footage of a certain RC 7.8 in action! [emoji106]

Well we had an excellent day bar the hour spent faffing with a failed trailer light after we recovered. Thanks for organising.

Like some of you who have AIS I get emails with times from Marine Traffic in respect of the departures and arrivals of Grey Mist

so

Departure from Southampton (not SDS) at 10:18
Arrival to Fawley at 10:26
Arrival to Yarmouth at 11:34

Departure Yarmouth at 13:53
Arrival to Fawley at 14:37
Arrival Southampton at 14:54 (not SDS)

in all this is not bad for those conditions

Hi Iain, having checked all footage again I have some with the RC 7.8 leaving Yarmouth but the bit when Grey Mist was coming up your port side is missing as 17 minutes of footage is showing the engine compartment as the clamp with the Go Pro moved. I am also missing the bit where we overtook Paul Lemmer in his cabin rib and that is very disappointing. The camera was later corrected by Bob. I now must get round to fitting the GoPro pad next to the scanner so this will not happen again. Sorry but I am sure there will be more opportunities.

I will do the editing in the next few days

RIBase
Hi all, First I'd like to thank everyone for an awesome day out, with special thanks to (a very) Dry Lemon, and Island star for checking up on me at the back! It was much appreciated, and it's probably my round for a long time for putting up with my learning.

Secondly, for those that didn't make it, here's a video of the day, and what happens when you put a 6.5m over some rough water, and through several waves!

https://youtu.be/pgGp3CbrUAo

my personal favorites so far are around 27.30 -29 minute mark, and 1h 15 to 1h 18

Sheldon

This is part 1
Southampton waters to Yarmouth. I am missing the crossing from Calshot to IOW . A pity cos that was exciting. I guess the camera was not recording - poor operator

Enjoy

Good run down Island side & hot food was lovely at the Wheatsheaf, bit bouncy on the return leg but worth every minute on the water.

Nacho run mk2 needed for those who couldn't make it.

This is Part 2 from Yarmouth

enjoy and perhaps wish you were there

all in all I am very pleased with the performance of the rib. The Baltic hull is known for exceptional sea keeping abilities and these short films are a good opportunity to demonstrate them.
