He had it stolen at 0500 today at Southampton area on a trailer, crashed into a vehicle blocking it in, so may be damaged trailer, three hrs on could be a long way off, a very big rib to tow

I'd go round each port gate & ask the guys to look out for it, it will be heading for a container for sure if not already in one.

I don't understand how they can put stuff like this into a container or on a boat without any paperwork.

Makes you think they planned it, booked the boat weeks ago with trailer and information about the boat and had to get it today, hence the damage to the other car boxing it in.

I know James has contacted some of the exit ports already. I have tweeted to marine police the details, now down to luck I guess.

A bit confusing as this looks to be the same boat on eBay: Coastline 8m RIB | eBay but I'm guessing it's you selling it, as the seller is listed as jmyachting?

I'm still a bit confused as to the ebay boat I saw (post above yours) that has the same photo that the OP used. Maybe the OP has the boat up for sale and it's been stolen while up for sale, or he has two boats? (Or is it a "stock photo")?

Yeah, advertised without a trailer too - which it would be if it had been "mysteriously damaged somehow" (or dragged over a car!!)

Just looking on Ebay and 2 ribs just stolen appear for sale!
Recon you need to be careful if you are trying to sell one
Ha, I have just read the title of the second one although I believe it was up for sale too!

Yeah, the bottom one is the owner trying to advertise the rib in the hope someone recognises it. He's stated it's been stolen in his description.

But there are two 8/8.5m Coastlines up for sale now - one with the same photo as the OP and the other that Whisper just found.

I've just emailed the seller of the one Whisper found to see if it comes with a trailer. There's also a phone number on the advert.

The bottom one is/was mine

It was a classified for sale ad on Ebay, but I have since changed the title to Stolen as the ad still has 3 weeks to go and if some dick tries to resell it then a potential buyer may see this ad, a long shot but it all helps.

The phone number is that of Coastline Ribs at Mercury Marina.

Coastline built IIRC 4 or 5 boats of this same type in 2012/13.

It's probably one of the others.

I'm sure James is on the case though!

There are currently 5 of these boats although 4 are nearly exactly the same. We have 3 which are being put up for sale. All our boats have either teak decks or grey non slip. We also have instruments in the dash. The one Coastline are selling on eBay doesn't.

Our one is a, or was a, legitimate sale without a trailer and the pictures on eBay show the boat underway.

Unfortunately despite being clamped on a trailer and blocked in it was still nicked!

Nightmare. As with all these things we'll keep our eyes open. Fingers crossed you get it back & the insurance sorts the car out.
