I was about to ask a question about windermere untill i saw this!.. Just a quick one, i want to do some fly fishing for pike/ brownies on windermere, but im not sure wheres the best place to launch a 4m sib, it will be on a trailer too but i dont mind chucking it in anywhere. Any ideas?
Looks like you had a good day out, you got some air from that 10mph you were doing

You can launch at ferry nab , & leave your car & trailer on the car park £17 for the day or take a look on the other side of the lake, there,s plenty places to put your sib in the water, but you need to register your sib first £20

I did my SRC assessors course with the Windermere Park Ranger - and he could NOT even run PB 2 on Windermere due to speed restriction.

we asked him who enforced the speed limit, he said it was himself!

So 10mph is enforced all over i believe!

10 mph Windermere

The whole 10mph speed limit is a farce, there are people wakeboarding and ski-ing all the time, it used to be just in the early mornings and late afternoon/early evenings, but as time has gone on since the so called enforcement of the 10mph speed limit, there are more and more people enjoing themselves, and we can't have that can we.
It should be scrapped and put back as it was !

Ok finished now.

Totally agree! Surely they must have lost money from less people going to the area than before the ban anyway, so seems pretty stupid. It should definately be put back how it was, it used to be the main place the fam would go out on my dads speed boat when we were younger, used to have cracking days out!
It is a farce though, even on ullswater a few weeks ago, there were speed boats, a few ribs and lots of Sibs (including me) that where blatently having fun, but didnt get a second look from anywhere. I wont be complaining, its how it should be. It was later on in the day, as through the day you cant see the lake for sails!
