Thanks Cork Rib. (Roches Point is one of my favourite places...great for blowing away the cobwebs...!!!) There was something really familiar about the landscape but it didn't look steep enough for the Point...
Sorry..moment of nostalgia...

Missus

Whereabouts in Cork are you based?

Where?

The Boats are indeed out of the Yard at Marine Motors.
We Launched at The Royal Cork.
Headed out to the Harbour entrance.
We were out for about an hour or so.
Was great. A bit of sun and dead calm.
The young man driving is young Dave Venner of Marine Motors and also part of the Crosshaven Lifeboat, top man in boat.

Am not on the training heading north.
Have been stayin just outside Middleton.
First Dublin then of to see Redbay Boats in the north tomorrow.

Best regards

Sorry not trying to be a smart you know what...just checking we were discussing the same place...!
Just appreciate it when peeps declare a 'vested' interest as distinct from us eejits (not a swear word; trad. Irish) who don't know our transom from our sponsons...i.e just in it for fun. Occasionally we have to ask advice (!!!) and it's nice to know who people are..
