Given that they've now a) killed someone in an unfortunate accident and b) had to stop using Bio-diesel because they couldn't/didn't/hadn't arranged for it to be available at a fuel stop, it's all looking like a pointless if not morally bankrupt exercise?

Bit contradictory. Racing round the world in a powered boat for a better planet. Its going round the world thats being slated for causing climate change.
