Southwest Ribsters Inaugural Cruise

Well finally I have managed to meet with another Rib or 2 in my homer waters.

Weather was excellent, company beyond compare and the chips weren't bad either

In no particular order.............

The sailing ship is Silver Cloud II, there was a rumour that Bob Geldof was on her, there was security on at the town quay- which Rob managed to get straight through and get presented with a security pass! Yes that is Alex in Silver Fern and to be honest none of the pics I took do her any justice, to see her powering past out on the water is a great sight.

Thanks guys for the first pics i have seen of me in my boat...

i think im going to make that run from falmouth to fowey my standard day out - its really nice along that piece of coast - so much more interesting than staying in the fal estury. I might try hugging the coast a bit more next time instead of drawing a straight line - to take in a bit more of the scenery close up.

I have uploaded the pictures i took to my website - follow the link in my signature...

After we left st austel bay the sea had chopped up a bit so we would have had to slow right down on the return journey to falmouth to avoid beating the hell out of my poor litle boat.

But alex kindly took my kids on his boat wich left me with a chance to open it up a bit more - managed to maintain over 20 knotts most of the way back with me having to stand up most of the way..... this week i cant walk ! oooooh my legs are stiff. should be recovered for the weekend though... ready for some more.
