Here's us charging off to the Eddystone, pity it's the first Plymouth trip I missed for years and the only one when the weather was good enough to dive it.

In the harbour at Seahouses, finished for the day.

Here's Sùlair. A brand-new 4.8m commercial. The Tohatsu 60hp 2-stroke PTT will go on in the spring, throttle, gauges, compass, auxilliary engine and stern light still to fit. Can't wait to launch. I specified an additional 4 hypalon wear patches and 6 internal grab handles.

Will be heading out of Rosehearty, Cruden Bay and Stonehaven. Also on the cards is a our annual summer trip to Lewis (Uig) and some fishing out of Ullapool.

How does your 6.8 go with a 225 etec on the back? Ours has a 175 which is pretty good when empty but full of people feels like it could do with another 50hp.

Is Tournado one of Active RIBs boats or did you manage to buy it new with those colours?

The boat goes about 45kts WOT and cruises at about 38-40. I've been trying different props this year and have settled on a Cyclone 14x19 4-blader.

show us your ribcraft

I was recently married in Hawai'i, (oahu) and we honeymooned on the big island of Hawai'i. Needless to say we did a fair bit of diving.
I was surprised that the RIB was a Ribcraft. The captain explained that in order to get a certificate from the coast guard the boat needs to have been buildt in America.
He told me that if the military/ coast guard buys a boat from outside the USA it is taken apart and rebuild on US soil so they can effectively say it was made in America.
(I don't know if this is true). He said Ribcraft have opened a factory in the US to avoid this rule and have them made over there.

Whatever the story ~ it was fantastic diving and a really good RIB.

(Oh how I wish I was back there now)!!!

Colin and welcome to the forum.
Is your new rib the one that was for sale recently in the Skye area?
