My old 4.7 with a mariner 60hp could do 39 mph (GPS) with us both in so hoping for 40+ mph with this one. The torque with this one feels much greater even though I have not opened her up fully but maybe tomorrow it will be...yeeee ha! I'll let you know.

I had a pro 500 with a 60 merc four stroke, being very light i squeezed 37 kts out of that and it was a great little boat!

38.5mph in one short blast but sea not as flat as I would have liked and trying to keep away from sustained max revs for a couple more days. Ireland and IOM still to do from SW Scotland in the next three weeks so it should be well run in by then.

Can't say I'm afraid. The gps is not wanting to work. It's going back to the menders. Ireland and back was great but not the flattest for speed trial but gps packed in on way there. Today, Isle of Whithorn was the worst sea that I've been in. Journey there was fine but the return leg was a completely different story, 12 miles out and it was really rough, but we are back and the boat looked after us.

Well run in now !....what a week that was !
A very very very very rough sea is still an under estimate of the conditions !

'Twas a wee bit choppy Concorde. What a great 2 weeks. Roll on the next time. We didn't make IOM. Weather window for there and back not ideal to go 40 miles there and 40 miles back. Maybe next year.
