RIB or not ???
Is that a RIB? NO!!! The new work boat of "Voies Navigables de France" is a one-off all aluminium built. The guy in charge of the project at VNF told me that "they wanted to get all advantages of a RIB in a custom built boat" but had to agree that "it would have been much cheaper to start from an existing 7.5m rib" ...
