re-build continued

Well I've finally got the floor in place and fibreglassed down. Just hope everything was in and tight on the fuel tanks .

I started to flocoat the inside yesterday and did around by the tubes today. The idea is to have an 1 1/2" gap by the transom and drain well and under the tubes of smooth flocoat then make the rest of the floor a none slip finish.

I found the hull number to the other day so thought I would send it off to Ribtec and see what they could tell me. They told me it was originally a Diesel/Jet combination. This should explain the removeable centre floor section when I bought it and the square repair marks in the hull where the intake grill and jet pump would have been mounted (originally thought to be a planning box)

Re Build

Hi Tue,

replacement panels and glassing looks fine and totally agree with flo coating proposal.

I am just a little concerned about the transom height, particularly in view of the fact that you are proposing to fit 200 - I would of thought you would need a transom height of at least 24" and looking at the pics there does not seem to be an awful lot of transom height left- I hope I am wrong and that there is more left than it appears?
I will be interested in your comments

All the best,
Stevetheboat

It is as I got it with the 200 fitted. The height is 21 3/4". Unitl I put it in the water I won't know wether its high enough or not :-(. It does look deceiptive because the floor height is raised to the height of the tube base. I also have a 1200 GPH auto bilge pump to goin drain well just incase the first time is a bit wet
