Quite correct.

Ironically, when Alan delivered the RIB to me, guess what - yes, my back was playing up! We went out on a choppy Solent and I felt every wave. No probs for me since that, I'm pleased to say, but I believe that Alan is still suffering quite badly.

that's Scorpion hulls for you ; the Humber rests in the water at the stern and isn't so twitchy

Nah, that's just an extra half a metre waterline length of luxury you've got!

luxury - no ; practical - yes. we could go on for ever about the attributes of our boats.

As a spectator it seems that Scorpions rule the roost and fair play to their innovative thinking.

I actually chose Humber in front of Scorpion simply because of its utalitarian nature. ...a turn key operation without any pretty bits to go wrong.

2 years on I am tempted to have a cabin Scorpion but it is too much like a sports cruiser I used to own

What I don't want to miss is the hull performance-the Humber took me through a very vicious Alderney Race last year 6/7 sea state rough and whilst it was hairy to the extreme I survived.

My favorite looking boat at the moment is Prime Rib II

Yes, Mike's got a very solid RIB there.

Not much in terms of "pretty bits to go wrong" on Blue ice though. Everything very solidly built. Each of the previous owners have added some very sensible bits. Huge bow cleat and a heavy duty bow fairlead to mention just two of the useful additions.
