The wyre's needs plenty of water the further down it you go, I stupidly took it to be ok because the lock gates had opened on the dock.

I took mine out last year through the Corry, not sure she really enjoyed it but thought if the MIL can get a run then she should as well
Throwing her overboard was tempting................

Bruce, having watched the video, I'm curious as to what point of the tide you were going through, I have only ever been through at slack water (Wimpish I know!), how far into the flood was this?

She's great. You can have a really good laugh with her. Sadly she hates boats, can't stand the things. But that's mainly due to letting my dad have his own way and living on one for the last 7 years
But, the don't have a mortgage, non council tax, electric and water are included in the mooring fee. But they do pay allot for that!

Can't remember offhand but it was pretty much mid tide. I have been through at all states of tide and, in a decent RIB, the only thing to wacth for would be brisk wind or swell against tide when it can get pretty hairy.
I find it worst when it is pretty slack cos it gets a bit spooky
