One of my wake last Wednesday (leaving Stanley harbour), and one of the slightly smaller wake left by the folks who were with me

Stephen - have your toobs faded to yellow - or is it just a camera colour balance thing?

Colour balance. The colour in the actual wake shot is about what they are to the eye, I think the other was a little overexposed due to the relatively dark background.

I'm optimistic that the good burghers of Cumbrae and/or Largs will come up with the goodies this weekend. (He said, deliberately missing the point )

If not, we'll just have to chase something down in the Clyde. (As long as we're outside of The Bay, that is ).

Flipper kebab, anyone?

Stately as a galleon...

...95 metres, 5000 tonnes and 14 knots.

Some days the long commute to work can be so trying. But not yesterday

It looks beautiful. Your photos prompted me to do a bit of research on the internet and it looks like an amazing place. We went to North Island last year and whilst it was very nice, I have yet to be convinced that NZ offers anything that can't be found in the Northern hemisphere (where, of course, the flights would be shorter and cheaper). We didn't see much of the place as we were there for unfortunate family circumstances though, so I'm open to persuasion!

P.S. Congratulations, btw!

Believe me when I tell you that it really is very different! If you make it to the Sports Boat show I'll see you then .............. of course it depends on what you want from a holiday, it no more suits everyone than Mauritius does!

Spitfire last weekend, just passing to the west of Cloch Point, in the capable hands of Colonel Gardner.

Note the bag of jelly babies, essential equipment on any RIB trip!
