Dog Day afternoon !

Took Bayshots out for her first official business shoot this sunday only to find it overcast and cold.
A few PWC users to tempt with a photo or two but nothing inspiring.

Then on the way back in to the jetty noticed big crowds of people with lots of dogs.
Seems I had stumbled onto the "dockdogs" club who specialise in jumping their dogs off the dock and are judged for distance.
So not to overlook a "gift Dog in the mouth" i started shooting the display.
Even better when one of the participants was also a Ribnet member
So he filled me in on what was going on and i cruised around taking action shots. Bad light that day ,but still managed a few shots and had lots of enquiries on the new Web site.So maybe a good day after all

cheers Dal

Stanley Jumping

Nice shots. I’m sure a few dog owners will contribute to your petro bill. My dog Stanley looks great flying thru the air. The previous day Stanley was barking at the sea lions and wishing he could swim with them! Thanks again for being part of the Dock Dogs competion. Next time we’ll get your rib to fly off of the dock!

Nice shots, Dal.

I've always wanted to see that competition; only seen it on TV.

Oh, and congrats on getting the (side?) businees going!

Caption Competition

I'm sure there a caption competition in there somewhere!

The 4th one (where you can just see the dog, not the dock) how about "Fido had finally had enough of his master farting on his boat"

Boys of Dogtown!!

Superb action shots Darrall and the new Bayshots website is looking good! Best of luck! Will you be a full time photographer by the time we visit??

Don't think our 2 labradors would be quite up to those antics now...the 11 year old might be fine but the 15 1/2 year old (yes..15 1/2!! ) wouldn't even see the end of the jetty let alone have the agility to spring "Scooby doo" like into the water! But when he was younger......!!!! Don't you have a beach for dogs in your neck of the woods, imaginatively called "Dog Beach" if I remember correctly?!!

Sorry to hear it was cold and overcast in CALIFORNIA (Heaven forbid!!), but welcome to the real world...global warming hasn't arrived here!! We are being told we have a drought but it doesn't stop raining...convinced it's a conspiracy by the water companies to charge us for water what we pay for petrol!!

As for the caption idea.....

"Fido was beginning to regret he hadn't broken his 20,000 feet drop with a parachute!"

or

"On hearing George Bush had been re-elected, Fido decided to end it all!"

Caption

For the caption on #4 how about " who stole my jetski ??"

Funny how the personality of the dogs came over in their expression and body language From the jet propelled ,to the "that water looks cold" dog.
one of my own favorites below is the splashdown

cheers Dal
