Bit breezy today

I got up this morning hoping for a trip out on the rib around lunchtime..... the sound of heavy rain lashing down on the window wasn't a good sign, and a check on the metoffice website revealing a force 10 from the SW arriving around lunchtime I phoned woot who I was going to go out cruising with and we took the (wise) decision not to go out
As I write this, the swell at the heads is showing as being 6.3 metres, which would be 'interesting' on my 6m rib, especially with a constant 40knot wind blowing on the bow....

Anyhow, I went over to Milford armed with the digi-video cam and took some boring videos of the not small workboats bobbing around on their moorings - not a sign of any ribs out there today unfortunately

Broadband users only I think
Sorry folks, it's 10meg, but 640x480 res so you can see the spray waltzing across the river.

It won't stream at 715k/sec, so best bet is to right click and 'save as' if you're interested.

Compare that with my last home video taken just after the new year.....

^^ That's the large version at 17meg

^^ That's the small version of the previous video lower res and compressed lots but only 8meg!!

We're going to try now to go out next weekend instead.... hopefully it will be a bit less breezy then

Gusty

It was abit gusty yesterday.

Me and dave Manning managed to get out on the new Zap Cat. We are now thinking about putting a line on it and flying it like a kite
