Amazing Summer Boating Locations

Post your best summer boating stories and pics.

Living in the US my boating locations are very different that what most rib.net members have available. I've been very impressed with pics posted on the coast in the UK. You guys over there are a hearty bunch. It seems that summer boating seasons starts when the ice is thin enough when you can get your boat wet!
But for me I love Hot dry weather and warm water.
Our deserts have a few lakes mostly created by the Colorado river. The very dry heat 110 to 120 deg F is hot but with zero humidity. Is not hot like you would think. And the water is 75 to 80 deg F.
So to start off here are some pics of Lake Powell in Utah 2016 with my prevous 1996 ChrisCraft. Its elevation is 5000ft. This robs the HP out of your boat. I bought a lower pitch prop (from 21p down to 15p)for the second day but top speed was 1/2 so with about 50 miles per day to cover I had to use the reg prop for most of the trips. putting on the lower pitch prop when we were pulling kids on toys.
So pop open a beer and pretend its summer and look at my 2016 trip to Lake Powell.

Heres a video, I can really feel the loss of HP when I watch this one.

This video is running part way thru "Reflection Canyon". Its a two+ mile long water filled cyn. I have an aerial pic of this spot in the pictures.

A few more pics
The drought has lowered the water 70ft so some pics show this change.
We also spent a day off the boat touring thru a Slot Cyn.
Sorry some of the pics keep falling over? I can't seem to be able to rotate them.

We're a bit constrained by the weather just now. Blowing a gale for the last few weekends and a tad on the cold side but managed to steel a day out on the forth......

That was great. It makes me wish my sib was so big and smooth.
Nice job editing it too. There is just something captivating about moving across smooth water isn't there? It makes any cold or choppy days worth the effort.

For xmas I got a GoPro 6 with the Hyper smooth stabilizer and several mounts. This season will produce some beautifully shot, nicely edited videos I hope.
