im looking for a yanmar 6lp 300 or 315 running or not dont care how bad it is id rather totally rebuild one and know what i have i need two for a boat i already have one but need another I have a pair of 4lh 240 yanmars which require repair which i would deal for a 6lp or ill collect and pay cash for the right engine call or email or message me cheers Ken

I have a 6LP 315 HP coupled with a Merc Bravo 1 Outdrive with only ~ 550 hrs on the engine and both in essentially perfect shape. They are in my 733 and in use. I would consider selling them as a pair only and it would have to be for a price that was worth my while. May not be what you are looking for, especially my being west coast US, but thought I would mention them. Cheers

Hi Ken.
I have a damaged 6lp 260 hp which has been rebuilt by specialist all it needs now to be a runner is repair fuel injection pump and exhaust manifold , the turbo has been repaired @ a cost of 500 and the engine will come with clocks and wiring loom which shows only 250 hours on clock and is genuine. Good morning,

I have 3 x Yamaha (2006) 300HP Z300TXR , HPDI motors in transit to Australia.
Two have R/H turn props the third has L/H turn prop, all are supposed to be in overall good condition, But!! all three present with broken power heads.

Are any of these of interest to you, if so let me know. Cheers.

Hi Thank you for the offer I'm still looking for one engine as a spare for the two in my boat but the yanmar 6lp's are inboard diesels so the petrol outboards you have are not much use to me

still on the lookout for a "spares engine" anything considered willing to pay decent money for a 300/315 6lp that I can either use as spares or rebuild as a spare for my boat

someone must have something lying around unloved

What might be of interest to you ken, is that since I haven't found anything suitable I have a bravo 2 drive and transom assembly I might part with !

There was a good 6lp went through ebay 3/4 months ago (before Christmas) but it made crazy money £6000k+ I recall. I know they were £30k new but they are 10 year old engines now!!!

Just had a look & Found a useful email ken, these guys have a complete engine & drive package GWO about £10k - not sure of your budget but they might split ?

A spare bravo drive never a bad idea tho!

that's west end "reconditioned with a spray gun" Sammy probably make a good anchor with the addition of some chain !

surprised you have not come across him if your in the trade he's had most peoples trousers down at some time!

Not really in the trade, engine wise anyway. I'm a marine sparks and until recently ran a commercial RIB "on the side". Ribbing mainly for fun tho. PM on way.
