Yam 40 triple carb throttle link.

When tweaking the idle speed today I snapped the central plastic link...

Same as in this ;

1987 YAMAHA 40HP THROTTLE LINK ARMS | eBay

Anyone have a second hand one or know if they are a common fit across the yam triple carb engines ?

I would have thought so, if you go onto browns point and find the part number and then search for the part number it should tell you every outboard that part is fitted to

RIBase
I get 6H4412170100 as the latest part no.

Only comes as a complete assembly, you can't order the plastic parts seperate.

£8.54 inc tax

In stock.

I have an account with Yamaha, but they now charge a £15 surcharge for any orders under £120. Any yamaha dealer will be able to get you one in.

Thanks all. I may give BHG a call then as it seems cheap enough to buy new. I may repair it to be useable for the Nacho run

Dont know why I dont seem able to 'work' parts sites....just a mental block..

Thanks Dave - I owe you

Balacing the carbs may be a job I get someone else to do . I just don't have the kit for it and not something I do often enough to make it worth getting.

Hopfully its not too bad if they are out slightly !... I''l have a peak down the bore to make sure things look similar ...not sure what to listen for to be able to do it by ear !

Pete
