Trailer required

I'm looking to buy a trailer for an Atlantic 21. 7.21 metres.

It needs to be in very good condition and with brakes.

I'm not against a new one.

Hi Simon

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.......if i'm honest, i totally forgot about it

Anyway, after asking around it would seem that an A21 hull is close enough to a VM hull for you to use our trailer.....

I'm heading back to the UK on the 21st of Feb and can bring the trailer with me if needed.

No problem if you have already found something else though...

Ta

Simon

We have a twin axel RM trailer, we are thinking of letting it go. If we do it will have,
New brakes and cables all wheels.
New bearings all wheels.
New tyres (well part worn ones)
And a full service ;0)
We are looking for about £1800.00 as this is a lot of trailer. Let me know if you want photos.
Ta Sunny

I had a look at the weights and it may be a bit light, I've been advised that a 2000kg payload would be better if you consider that a 1400kg boat is without fuel and kit it will be nearer 1800kg when transported.

I'd welcome other opinions though as I know nothing.

I have a CLH 2600 kg twin axle roller coaster that would be a very good fit for your boat
(payload and length). All brakes are new and tyres fine Trailer is in very good condition, has been well maintained and it tows very well. PM or call me if you are interested.

Hi Simon we had a good look today and we don't think this is going to be an easy option for you buddy. Your boat is over 20ft so it won't fit in a 20ft shopping container on this trailer.

It won't fit into a 20 ft shipping container anyway. I'm told that the boat is too big and needs to go into a 40 ft.

This is part of the problem, I was quoted £1700 before I bought the boat and now I own it the quote is £2750. That is just for shipping to Alexandria. I've had another £2500 quoted for handling and transport to Hurghada.

On top of this money there will be import duty. Right now a £10000, 22 year old boat is starting to look really expensive. I may just be better off selling it.

I can tow it myself from Alexandria, it's a long way and the roads are not that good so it needs to be a decent trailer.

It may be cheaper to Tow it right through Europe all the way.
