Mercury tiller for 35 - 70hp OLD outboards may fit others

Bought this on ebay, was hoping to convert it for my yamaha but I got a super rare yamaha tiller after some help from roflcat. I think it fits outboards pre 85

was advertised as

"Rare late model tiller arm for Mercury / Mariner outboards 35hp to 70hp (2, 3 & 4cylinder) NLA item. Complete with gear selector cables and kill switch wiring. Intact and serviced. Serious saving over new or used. No silly offers please "

£130 delivered

think its intended for the round cowl pre 85 style.

At the end of the day its just a tiller, a bit of you know what in the head department could make it work for most.
