I prefer power from a 2 strokes Mercury, there s a new range of optimax (PRO XS - not from mercury racing !!!),
Outboard Engines | Mercury Marine
maybe only launched on US market for the moment but look great ...but i know that new 4 strokes are great ...but still heavier

hope it helps

Hi Chris I know of a Mercury 150 Verado coming up for sale. 2006 model. Comes with all harnesses, digital throttle and shift on a side mount control. Only ever been used on Loch Lomond fresh water from new. Think the hours are around 90 ish from new. He's looking for £6500.
