Looking for help to brush up mooring skills

I own a 6m day boat which I keep in East Cowes Marina.

I've had it 6 years and did the Powerboat Level 2 course without a hitch 6 years ago, but as I've hardly used the boat since, I could be much better at mooring up, leaving and close quarter manoeuvres. Curse those with bow-thrusters!

So I am looking to hire a PB2 instructor, (even someone who is retired) for several 30-60min sessions (4,5?), either crammed into a couple of weeks or once week, I don't mind. Whatever is most convenient for you and how the weather pans out. I work from home in Cowes so am very flexible with time of day and day of the week.

Is there anyone out there who can help/is interested?

Regards,

Rob

I would do it, but my schedule of when I am working in the Solent would almost certainly not match up with yours

Tim Griffin is based in East Cowes and he is a brilliant instructor, he would be my second choice

If you're based in Cowes, I'd recommend Hugo @ Salty Sailing. He's based in Shephards Marina. He's really good - both a good bloke and a good instructor. I did my coastal skipper with him a few weeks back - he does PB2 and RIB stuff too. Happy to put you in touch if you'd like.

He’s been doing the RTI this weekend, so a bit busy. PM me your phone number and I’ll make sure he calls you back.
