Hi, I made one myself. Used marine ply and my seat that came with the boat as a template. 2 seat hook plates from ebay and have a seat as strong as original for under £15.
Also mounted 2 rod holder mounts - flush fitting

What thickness ply is that? I suppose I could bond two thinner pieces together...
