Wanted: Flywheel for Tohatsu 70hp

My flywheel decided to throw its magnets today so I need a knew one. I suspect new they are lots of £££ so looking for something second hand. The engine is a 1996 70hp Tohatsu 2 stroke 3 cyclinder 1 litre. It may be the same as other engines (e.g. Tohatsu 60hp) but I'm not sure.

Does anyone happen to have one lying around or know of somewhere that might have one?

The M60C and 70B (3 cylinder) are the same as far as I'm aware. A new flywheel will be horrendously expensive new I'm sure. Speak to Ian at Stornoway Sares (Lewis) who I suspect has few Tohatsus for spares at this HP size. Tel: 01851 702504 email: ian@stornowayspares.co.uk

Phoned Tohatsu today and it turns out that particular flywheel is discontinued. If I wanted to buy a new one, I would need to buy all the new electrics too which would probably be about £2500! The guy said second hand ones are very rare as most of these old engines fail because of the flywheel!

Looks like a large investment for me now for 1 week of on water time each year :-(

Anyone need any Tohatsu 70 spare minus the flywheel?!
