The other avenue is the Polastorm brand which are frequently half OE cost. They seem to have got their act together and perform so close to OE you'd often not detect a difference.

Thanks for the replies. In the end I went with a Solas from SSI marine for £90.

I've used a Solas before on my old boat with a Suzuki 20hp, and it seemed okay.
