I got a Ducks Back cover for the outboard off eBay----------Amazing quality for £27 (full cover).

The Searider video on YouTube is truly inspiring, it is a credit to all who worked on it--Well done! I wish I could be there this weekend.

If the ducks back covers are anything like the outboard cover I am not surprised. When I ordered my outboard cover off eBay for £27 I was not expecting much, when it arrived I could not believe the detail and quality. The cover goes over the skeg/prop then it is elasticated around the pivot point, the cover pulls over the hood and then zip's together fully covering the engine. Even the blue material appears to be good quality.

Thank seaflyer02. I just ordered a ducks back outboard cover.
Still looking for a main cover.
The Trem Covy ones suggested by Jeff earlier look nice and will fit as extra large. £135.
The ebay one I found for £49 looks good too, but not 100% sure it will fit.

Si

If your looking to by a trem covy for you 6m plus boat I would look at the maxi as the xxl could do with the extra width I had to drop my nav light & spot below the A frame having said that marinscean said they take back if it doesn't fit

Regards jeff

I found Torquay chandlers listing Talamex "covy" covers. The sizes and spec seem the same as the Trem covers.
I suspect the are the same just diffent branding.
The XXL is £50 cheaper too, but dont list the Maxi sized one. I measured the boat and the width of the XXL will be fine, but i dont think it will be long enough to fit over the A frame.
I might commission the misses to sew in some zips or velcro

Talamex 'Covi' Boat Cover L- XXL from £69.24 - Torquay Chandlers

(They also have a tempting price on a M-Tech VHF radio at £85 too!)

I think you're right Simon666 about the Talamex and Trem covers being the same. Their dimension diagrams and size charts and images are identical.

I spoke to the chap in the shop and they are all sent direct from the manufacturer in Holland, taking around a week to be delivered. I've ordered a small one myself, that I aim to use as a mooring cover, using hooks attached to the elastic pieces. I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives.
