We have the set of original tubes here and, having looked at them again, I believe that they will "scrub up quite nicely" and the only really major thing that needs to be done is to remove all the old rubbing strake and replace with new. After this is done the tubes would certainly provide many years of useful life. So what I would like to do is the following:-
Restore the tubes to a good condition with new strakes etc, and then offer them to anyone for a sum of £1,500.00 plus VAT. £750.00 of this will need to be paid direct to the Just Giving web site for this project(This therefore avoids paying VAT on this part of the payment). and the balance of £750.00 paid to Henshaw Inflatables Ltd. This part of it will attract VAT at 20%.
I will also include sufficient fabric and Bostik for fitting the tubes. (If the purchaser wanted us to fit we would do this at a nominal charge)
The charity therefore benefits to the tune of another £750.00
Of course if the purchaser wants to increase their donation to Just Giving just do so!!
