HMS Scylla Sinking Plymouth This Weekend

Does anybody have the latest news on the Scylla?

We are planning to drive down Friday evening, go for a cruise of the area Saturday morning, get some lunch, then watch the sinking Saturday Afternoon. Then cruise again on Sunday, maybe the odd dive.

Is anybody else planning to be there?

Fantastic weekend, and despite a 2 hr wait the sinking was worth it. Sorry we did not meet up with anybody, there was so many boats there was little chance. Thanks to those people that recommended the Mayflower Marina, did the job nicely.

Here are some pics. For more see

I would have dived here this weekend but they extended the exclusion. Not sure when now ... but soon before its starts to get covered in growth. The Zenobia in Cyprus took years to loose its paint .... will be interesting to see what happens.

I hope somebody decides to sink a few more ships, Scapa would be a great location, especially as the old wrecks are falling apart, the decay has been significant over the past 10 years.

Brilliant shots Andy. Absolutely magnificent.

How did you get so close....or is it that you have excellent telepho lenses and a very stable platform/hi-speed film.
Can you give us all a few tips please?
