Bling!
Here are a few pictures from RIBEX on Friday. Thanks to Richard B for the taxi service (and thanks to BenC and Rogue Wave for the offers too!)
The exhibition seemed rather thin on Friday, and I know that several exhibitors didn't arrive until Saturday. I was particularly sorry not to have seen the Hunton, which looks rather special from the photos I've seen.
We'll start off with some other bling though, the 10m Cougar and a Pascoe charter boat.

Cabins & consoles
The Stingher had a smart stand-up console, and vast storage space. It is a "med" style boat, but with decent seating and a deep V hull looks more capable than most.
The Shearwater RIB from Bembridge Outboards has sleek lines and a great use on console space. The Mike Ring designed hull even had built in lighting on their show boat!

Parkers big and small
There were two Parker 630s at the show, this smart grey one and another fitted with waterjet unit.
The battleship grey Baltic 900 was a favourite for demos, and with its 12 seats there was no problem getting a ride. I hope everyone took Andre up on his offer! The passenger seating was excellent, and much more comfortable than the bench seats fitted to some other RIB "trip boats". The boat handled well, with a superb ride -- there were lots of grins on this boat 
The new internal mouldings really improve the look and finish on these boats, and it was interesting to see how few boats these days still have the "traditional" glassed-in marine ply deck.

The usual suspects
Finally a few people spotted looking busy: training supremo Paul Glatzel and Jason from Ribcraft both on the phone, Paul Lemmer catching up on his paperwork, and Tim Wilks of Ribtec looking very happy to be working with Pascoe International!

We had the show shearwater out for a run just befor the show ( befor the summer finished!!), took a few shots, the 275 verado ( the first we have fitted) was pushing us up to 56 mph, and after an hour of being fairly unkind to it, we had used 44ltr of fuel, controls are fantastic, very light and smooth. looks like we will have to lift the motor another two bolt holes to improve the performance.
We delivered a shearwater this week with a 250 suzuki, only 4 mph slower. and using 34 ltr hr @ 4000rpm pretty impressive .
