Collected HDS 8 yesterday, got home and it...
Collected HDS 8 yesterday, got home and it doesn't fit on the console.
I didn't take the extra depth in to consideration when I measured up and changed from 7 to 8.
Took it back but couldn't...

Went to collect boat from being serviced...
Went to collect boat from being serviced expecting to pick up my HDS 8 and structure scan, ordered weeks ago..... Lowrance have told the dealer they won't be able to release stock until 11 November...

Think its for the structure scan to add to HDS unit.
I got mine for £449 - structure scan - £1479 for HDS 8 plus another £221 for transducer and chart upgrade.
Might be able to get it for less...

Spoke to Marine scene and there selling the Lowrance HDS 8 for the same price I can get the HDS 7 locally and delivery is free!

The Garmin is touch screen but that could be a downside, its already getting a bit colder so will have to get the gloves out soon, I don't think touch...

The structure scan looks really interesting, I think its around £500 extra.
I'm not sure what the Garmin sounder images look like?
Also if adding radar at a later date...

Hello, I'm looking at Garmin 750s or Lowrance HDS7.
Does anyone have an opinion on either to help me make a decision on which one to purchase?
Pros and cons of each?
