I thought it was we Scots who'd ttry to water down the fuel to make it last further. Guess I'll have to think of some other way to make my fuel last (other than slowing down).

It's only a vw tiguan. It coped really well. It's auto so I just set the cruise (and went to sleep). Averaged 45mph on the journey back and got 34mpg.
