If you didn't worry about the fuel cost I think you'd bin the RIB and get a Motorcruiser. All that plush space and somewhere to kip in whichever port you decide to stop.

Maybe its because we don't get out on our boats that much that when we do we want to really enjoy them. Thats when the red mist comes down and cruising is done...

I wouldn't call that cruising though. I would say about 30 minutes at least constant running would be cruising ! Maybe even more.

Cruising RPM

Whats a good engine REV speed to cruise at. I keep my engine around the 4500 RPM mark for cruising but sometimes it seems a little slow. Is 5000 RPM a fair enough speed for cruising.
