The only other thing I can add is that when I opened the consol tank there was a large rush of air as if there was a vacuum.

Re the above filled up main tank but still same. Opened up engine and bottom of casing dripping with oil. Cannot find leak but there has been a fair amount coming from somewhere the small engine tank...
