deck to base of scanner platform is about 2.2m, just enough to stop your brain from frying if you're stood directly in front. That won't be a problem with the broadband as they aren't supposed to...

AFAIK "Broadband" radar is only good for short ranges, which on a RIB isn't a problem due to the mounting height. The best I can reliably get is about 6-8 miles in good...
