Just the opposite in my family, my 25 year old son nags me all the time "let me take the boat out I promise not to wreak it". Just like thousands in tuition he pissed away, 2 cars we bought for him...

Now it is her boat of course she want a better engine (is the law the same in Canada as the states "what was yours is now hers") My wife thinks a four stroke is the way to go quieter, no smoke etc....
