The gamble for me would be more of a kick in the teeth given the distance id have to travel to then have a full rebuild. Seller seems to think thermostat has failed closed but im sure it should fail...

Well after a txt and a call ive found out the engine has stopped pumping water so could be an impeller or head gasket? Am i right in thinking a thermostat would fail open?
