Thanks Beamish Ken! ive looked at the red choke tab, it says open or close, but cant see anything that moves to adjust the revs. It stays on for 30 seconds, everytime and seems to cut down to low...

Or can anybody confirm that it should be revving at 2500 whilst on choke? i would much sooner have a manual choke instead, but im not sure that can be done?

Yamaha 40 2 stroke...

I have a 1995 triple cylinder 40 hp 2 stroke, its auto choke for 30 seconds and then cuts the revs down to idle tickover..
Problem is, when it on the choke, its revving its tits off at 2500 revs....
