OK, I think I get it, basically those just let water out from inside. So, unless I have water inside probably should keep them closed. Thank you for the help.

Ok, so my Mark II has two plugs on the back. I don't understand what these do, when I want them open, and when I want them closed. Seems to me I would always want them open...no? Thanks for any...
