Past the point of no return

I've ground out the damaged area, I now plan to fill with a chopped fiber resin mix and the lay over 4 sheets to finish, sand the area flat and repaint entire deck.

Will this be a good repair?

Thanks for that Andy. It wont work in my case as there will be a sub surface to bond the repair material to (I hope) so it should be more straight forward.

Deck Repair

I have a crack in my deck, its about 4" long and an area around it feels as if it's delaminated.

I was going to grind out the delaminated area and bodge in some glass mat and resin before painting...
