My point is European companies aren't allowed to rip people off by saying you can only use their own make of oil. The Yanks get away with it and people fall for it every time.

Interesting to note that Suzuki don't reccommend...

Interesting to note that Suzuki don't reccommend an oil for their outboards. Several dealers have told me they use - Quicksilver oil - Yamaha oil even Volvo oil....

Suzuki obviously don't think...

I wonder if Verado owners will ONLY buy Mercury...

I wonder if Verado owners will ONLY buy Mercury oil in case the engine blows up??? Or do they realise an oil good enough for a Ferrari is good enough for them?
