Yes the sea can be quite lonely even when you are in a busy area I suppose. When we came back from Guernsey we only saw about 3 or 4 boats all the way back. And that was a lovely day in late June.

Only solution to that is a helmet and a headset - very valid point though. My radio can be turned up full and I won't hear a thing at full speed.
