Thanks jezza. I've got it in bits so I can clean up all the contacts then I will coat liberally in WD40 as you suggest.

My lighting board to tow bar connector has stopped working properly (electrical contacts dodgy, I suspect corroded). Is there any way to prevent this from happening? I've never got either end near...
