Thanks for all the helpful advice. I will keep the Isuzu.

It gets a service and oil change every 6000 miles or 12 months whichever occurs first (I do 5 to 6 k a year in it).

I do run two cars already so that does keep the fuel bill down as the Isuzu is only used part time.

It is good to hear that people are getting 200k out of them...

It is a 3.1td. I have never been brave enough to accurately check the mpg in case it scared me. I estimate its about 22mpg round town. To get 28mpg I have to go on a long run and stay under 60mph.
