Got 1 1/2" off set and cav plate 1" above hull line ,, should I be 2" up ie move motor up a hole, getting lots of spray of the back...

Just ripped the whole loom out its sat in my garage , think its k nackerd. To be honest,, crumbling wires in more places than one,, that will explain the tacho messing up also...
