The boat was out on the Clyde yesterday, in the Largs/Cumbrae area, and I've been advised that the reg/rect fried towards the end of the day.

Engine charging again.
Replaced the regulator/rectifier with one from Trickett Marine.
Hopefully that one will last for a few years.

Think i've diagnosed the cause.
Discovered that a rubber bushing about half way up the driveshaft had dropped down. The driveshaft had a mark where it had rubbed against the lower leg casting...
