the end of the cable is a hole,that end is crimped into the main stainless tube.
the play is there. about 2mm in and out, i think the play is ok...

Hi, i was checking my steering rod connection today and noticed that the end of the cable (where the bolt goes through) has a bit of play in it.
not play at the hole, but where the end with the hole...

Pressure release valves.

can you get something that fits into existing valves that will release the pressure?
ie a new valve core ,or do the existing valves have to be replaced..?

Gearbox plug seals

Hi i have recently changed the oil in the gearbox of my engine and had trouble getting the seals for the level and drain plugs,they were the fibre type.
I have used o rings from an automotive shop...

Oil filter on mercury 9.9??

Hi i have recently bought a 9.9 mercury 4 stroke outboard,it is an 08 model.(4 stroke)
Can any one tell me where the oil filter is?
cant see it anywhere.
