Just had a look at the bayonet fitting connecting...

Just had a look at the bayonet fitting connecting the fuel line to the tank. I can't see any O rings or any rubber seal. Is the seal inside the L connector on the tank?

Thanks, :thumbs: the valve is open. I've even taken the cap off. I think I might be sucking in air somewhere, maybe at the bayonet fuel line fitting on the tank????

Priming my engine!!!!

:] When pumping the fuel through to my engine to prime it. Does the air intake need to be closed. Because when I leave it open the prime ball doesn't seem to firm up?????

Thanks I think you're right. I'm new to this, but when pumping the fuel to prime the engine I have alwas felt that the pump ball is not getting hard enough as if I am pumping air with the fuel.

Can too much air getting into the fuel tank make a difference

My engine keeps cutting out. I think its being starved of fuel. Filter in the external tank seems OK. But the fuel gauge is leaking when I shake the tank. Therefore letting in air. Am using new fuel...

Mariner 30hp justs cuts out!

I don't feel like putting it in the water again. The engine runs very well for hours. And then all of a sudden the engine will die, as if running out of fuel. And will not restart until i leave it...

2 stroke oil to petrol ratio

I have just perchased a Mariner 30HP 2 stroke engine, and am not sure of the oil to petrol ratio. Can any one help. Is it the same for all engines????
