Chnage dimpeller but still have a poor telltale - what next?

Hi All

I had no telltale on my motor so changed the impeller. Its still virtually non-existant tho there is a tiny bit getting through now.

Here in Oz, I'm finding I'm using the boat mostly in really shallow water - typically 1.5m to 3m with a sandy bottom.

As a result, top speed is often down from 38knots to 32-33 using a 13x17 prop....

I'vetried blasting back thru the tell tale with no joy - and waters coming out the prop - so it does seem to be getting thru.

Will try to take the tell tale apart next then
