Well I have a 4m and the 10HP would not plane 4 up but having changed to a 20HP it does quite easily so would guess that as has been said with the right load distribution the 15HP should be OK.

So am looking at getting a new one of theses to stick on my 4m Waveline SIB. Presently have a 9.8HP 2-stroke Mercury.. which planes with 2 up but just does 10knots!

Indeed that is the problem, the 15hp is also some 10-15kg heavier then the 10hp so while more desirable it just may not be...

Just a thought - trying to decide on a new engine - a 10Hp would be lighter than a 15HP but would it make much of a difference compared to my old 8hp 2 stroke.

2 up I get 12kts, reports indicated...
